Part memoir and part practical leadership guide, Chaos Reveals It draws on Billet’s more than three decades of leading through some of the most consequential crises of the modern era. From the response to TWA Flight 800 and the attacks of September 11 to the 1996 merger of New York City EMS into the FDNY, international diplomacy and business, the book examines what leaders must do when plans collapse, information is incomplete and people need direction.

ABOUT BRADFORD E. BILLET

Bradford E. Billet, OBE, CEM, has spent more than three decades leading through crises and advising governments, businesses and organizations. During more than 22 years in New York City government, he held senior roles with New York City EMS, the FDNY, the Office of Emergency Management and the Mayor’s Office for International Affairs, where he served as deputy commissioner and acting commissioner.

Billet was the chief architect and implementation leader of the 1996 EMS-FDNY merger.
